Porch Party Inspiration

We’re back again to inspire you guys for all your summer porch parties! We’re Costner Studio, a small interior design studio based in Milton, Georgia. Our passion is helping others love where they live and making your dream space a reality. We offer e-design packages where you can work with us remotely and love a great room transformation!

As soon as the weather gets warmer and the fruit gets sweeter, we try to enjoy the outdoors and our backyards more. Summertime is also the perfect excuse to throw a good porch party with your friends and family. So we thought we’d share some fun ways to incorporate Flats for your porch.

So you have an idea on TableFlats, but are looking for more style inspo?
We got you! When setting up the perfect tablescape you want to make sure you have a solid patio table that seats at least 6 for you and your guests to sit comfortably. This patio table is a great choice if you don’t happen to have one yet!

Once you have all your furniture you then want to either start with a table runner or cloth! We prefer to use runners to give you more dimension to layer in your other decor and food setup (this runner is a good basic to start and we suggest bunching and draping).

And of course, we can’t forget to use our favorite TableFlats (favorites shown below)! Our favorite part of styling the perfect tablescape is selecting fun glassware and tableware.

These plates are perfect for outdoor dining and hosting! Not only are they pretty and neutral, but they’re plastic and durable. Glassware is our personal favorite and these glasses are so fun and add a pop of color to your tablescape, because really we like to let the food do all the talking (serving bowls to add that summer touch).

Now when it comes to utensils, you can have more fun than you realize. These beautiful brass utensils are stunning and will be a great way to mix in materials. Since we mainly stick to letting the food do most of the talking don’t forget to add in some greenery/flowers to make it feel even more special. We recommend going to your local Trader Joe’s or market to find flowers or if you don’t have a green thumb choose an artificial plant like this one that looks real!
